Here is an awesome 1446 vintage guitar in Excellent Original condition!! These guitars came from the factory with genuine Gibson mini-humbucking pickups, designed with a cool staggered pole-piece layout specific to this model. They sound GREAT and make this one of the most uniquely useful and effective guitars ever produced for Silvertone. Other cool features include the uniquely designed plastic parts, Bigsby vibrato tailpiece, and fully hollow construction. This one has a FAT neck, which we've only ever seen on the earliest examples (very much like a '59 335 dot neck feel), that's dead straight and set-up with nice low action! Some light fret wear, nicks and dings throughout but all consistent with a 100% original 45+ year old guitar that was played gently and looked after. Some buckle wear can be seen on the back, along with a mark most likely made when the guitar was laid on top of a curly cord in the case for a long period. Small stress marks around the input jack but totally solid. This one has been cleaned and serviced inside and out, set-up with 11's, and is ready to go another 45 years!! AMAZING example!! Original soft shell case included.
