ON HOLD ... Collectors and serious players alike .... Here we have a gorgeous and RARE 1928 L5 in phenomenal condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs! Solid spruce top, stunning flamed maple back, sides, and neck, Grover tuners, Nice V shaped neck, ebony fingerboard with cool block inlays, original frets in great shape ... arrow straight neck plays wonderfully with nice low action. Original gold trapeze tailpiece with "Patented JULY 19, 1910" stamp, NICE flowerpot headstock inlay, white Kalamazoo Gibson label inside has serial number as 862XX, number stamp inside against the back reads 9705, stamp on bridge read "PAT'D JAN 18-21" .... Missing the original pickguard but otherwise a wonderful and fully original Post-Loar era guitar!!! Original case is in excellent ++ condition but needs a new handle. The 2007 Vintage Guitar Price Guide gives a value range for this guitar between $13,000-15,000 ...
