1963 Epiphone Crestwood Custom
An incredibly rare and cool vintage Epiphone! The Crestwood Custom was Epi's top of the line solidbody, analogous to Gibson's SG Custom. Made in the Gibson's Kalamazoo factory, the Crestwood Custom exhibits the same quality and tone as Gibson's other golden age instruments. Epiphone solidbodies have seen a recent upswing in popularity as players discover their great tone and relative rarity as compared to more common Gibson solidbodies. This Crestwood custom is a great example of the breed. The solid mahogany body has an attractive symmetrical shape reminiscent of a 50s Les Paul Junior. The 24.75 inch scale mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with pearl oval inlays. Dual patent sticker mini humbuckers (click on highlighted words for additional images) deliver a variety of tones. Original Kluson tuners, ABR-1 Tuneomatic bridge and Vibrotone tailpiece round out the hardware. Original 63 pots and electronics. The original white lacquer finish is complimented by nickel plated parts. A very rare guitar and likely one of the last batch of 3 on a side Crestwoods to leave the factory!
