1965 Guild CE-100 in blonde
SALE! FREE SHIPPING IN THE CONTINENTAL USA! Awesome Guild quality and looks in uncommon blonde! Guild guitars continue to be unsung heroes in many guitar player's collections. Made in Westerly, Rhode Island to the highest standards of quality, the CE-100 was Guild's answer to Gibson's ES-175. The hollow body features a maple top with maple back and sides. The laminated mahogany neck features a bound rosewood fingerboard with pearloid block inlays. Guild's very own humbucking pickups deliver smooth tone. Guild's harp tailpiece, a rosewood bridge and Grover Sta-tite tuners keep it rock solid. The finish is a classic natural blonde and is set off by chrome hardware. A very nice guitar. Many players would take a Guild over a Gibson or Gretsch citing better quality and tone. There's no better value in a USA made archtop! This is a nice example of a vintage Guild. The neck is straight and the action is good. The frets are fine and the playability is good. the pickups deliver a variety of tones and sound great. Condition wise, this is a nice vintage guitar. It shows normal scratches, dings and wear. A solid example. There's a little typical Guild binding shrinkage. Not binding rot like Gretsch just some spots where the binding has pulled loose. Very typical on vintage Guilds and a relatively easy fix for a luthier. Most folks live with it. Comes in a later hardshell case.
