1966 Silvertone Chris Isaak S 1446 Double Cutaway
ON SALE! Ultra mega super rare! A double cutaway Silvertone 1446! Depending on who you talk to, the double cutaway was only available for a year. Only a few examples exist. Perhaps one of the hardest to find of all 60s Harmony/Silvertone guitars. It's easily one of the coolest looking we've seen thanks to the sleek 335 shaped body. Popularized by Chris Isaak in recent years, 1446 fans know what all of the fuss is about. Killer hollow body tones and awesome looks. Dual Gibson made mini humbuckers deliver huge tone. A Bigsby vibrato allows cool twang. The black finish contrasts nicely with white plastic. A great looking guitar with tone to match.
This is a nice playing Silvertone. The neck is straight, the action is good and the frets have plenty of life. The pickups deliver a variety of twangy retro sounds. A good example of the breed. This guitar shows normal wear but is nicer than many you see. Normal, honest wear for a 45 year old instrument. Some scratches, dents and dings. There's a hole from a string tree under the high E tuner. the tuner ferrules look to have been changed. Nothing major and still a great looking guitar. Comes in a gigbag.
