1965 Fender Duo Sonic

Vintage Fender at a price anyone can afford! The Duo Sonic was introduced by Fender to offer guitar players Fender quality and tone at a bargain price. Today these guitars are an even better value. Don't want to mortgage your house for a vintage Strat? Grab a Duo Sonic for some classic mojo! The body is alder for classic Fender tone. The 22.5 inch scale maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays. Dual single coil pickups dish out classic Fender tone. Original pots and electronics. A 3 saddle bridge (the same saddles as a 62 Tele!) and vintage Kluson tuners keep it rock solid. This example has its original red finish set off by white plastic. A very cool look. A lot of vintage guitar for the bucks!

This Duo Sonic is fun to play and sounds good. The short scale makes chording easy and would be great for smaller hands. The original frets show some moderate wear but still play fine. The neck is straight and the action is good. The pickups sound good. Everything works as it should. Condition wise, this one shows the wear you would expect from a 46 year old guitar. Checking, dents, dings, scratches and finish wear add to its cool vibe. There is one finish imperfection near the bridge that looks a touch up or perhaps something spilled. Couldn't get it to photograph and it could be normal wear. The high E tuner has a bend in it but works fine. All in all, a nice vintage guitar. Comes in original but very beat case. There's one split at the top but still functional.

This is a hip package for any vintage Fender fan. Vintage Fender tone and vibe at a great price. Many dealers are asking $2000 and up for vintage Duo Sonics. Here's a nice example for less.
