1960 Supro Dual Tone

Killer tone! The Supro Dual Tone was made famous by guitar slingers like Link Wray and Ry Cooder. Killer primitive tone from a simple package. This example sports a wood body. The necks were unique as they had a huge metal rod down the center that added stability but also enhanced sustain. Two huge single coil pickups deliver killer garage tone. The 3 way switch is wired to give a treble boost at the bridge and delivers some unique sounds. Cool appointments include Kluson Butterfly button tuners and an art deco tailpiece. A very cool guitar that blows away the imported reissues in tone and vibe!

This Supro plays and sounds good. the neck is straight and the action is medium. the frets are in good shape for their age. The pickups sound awesome. Everything works as it should. This is a nice vintage guitar. it shows normal wear and tear as you would expect from a 50+ year old instrument. Scratches, dents, dings and some minor splits in the plastic No Mar lap steel type covering. Still a good looking example that was obviously not abused. The headstock logo is MIA but repros are supposed to be on the way to market. A very nice vintage guitar. Comes in a recent gigbag.
